Our pricing is transparent
A boudoir photo shoot might be a luxury, but it is an affordable luxury. And, unlike many other photographers, we tell you - up front - our pricing.
We recognise that women have differing wants and needs from a photo session, and differing abilities to afford what they want. So we have a variety of packages and products – something to suit everyone. And different ways to pay.
You’ll love your photos so much that you will want to showcase them. We offer beautiful hand-crafted photo albums, wall art - framed photos the best canvasses you’ve ever seen, photo prints and digital images.
It all starts here
The Experience (makeup, hair and photo shoot) is the start of your photo journey. A trained makeup artist enhances your hair and makeup for around an hour. And then we begin a laughter-filled 1-1/2 to 2 hours of photography. You’ll be tired at the end of your shoot but you’ll leave floating on a cloud!
Your Smoke&Mirrors Studio Experience includes:
pre-session planning consultation to discuss how you’d like to be photographed and outfit choices
camera-ready hair and makeup artistry by our professional onsite makeup artist - you will feel amazing!
a 90+ minute, fully guided, professional photo shoot that is fun!
private photo reveal and ordering session.

The you decide how you would like your images
After your photo session (The Experience, above) you get to choose how you would like your beautiful photos. Popular choices include customised photo books, wall art (framed photos and canvasses) and digital images.
We have samples in our studio available for viewing, and you are most welcome to visit – choose Studio Tour in the form below for this.

Our client’s favourite way to display their images.
Our luxury photo books feature true photographic prints on a card backing. They look and feel wonderful. You will treasure these for years.

A 250x250mm (ten inch) photo album, finished in a Classic Library Buckram cover. These are custom-made for us by New Zealand’s leading producer of luxury wedding albums.

Bigger is better!
The bigger version of The Teaser (below). Same great quality but on a larger canvass. A 250x250mm (ten inch) photo album, finished in a hard cover with a photo on the front.
We recommend one photo per page, but two on a page can squeeze in. And the ••• offers double page spreads, which gives images an incredible impact. The quality of the ••• is very good, and we have happy clients with this book. The ••• uses real photo paper on pages nearly a millimetre thick.

The Teaser
Our client’s favourite photo album!
A 200x200mm (eight inch) photo album, finished in a hard cover with a photo on the front. The Teaser is a great size – big enough to show your images with impact but small enough to be discrete and hide away.
We recommend no more than one photo per page. And the Teaser offers double page spreads, which gives images an incredible impact. The quality of the Teaser is very good, and we have many happy clients with this book. The Teaser uses real photo paper on pages nearly a millimetre thick. We have a sample Teaser in our studio for viewing.

The Pocketbook
The affordable choice!
A 150x150mm (six inch) mini photo album. Twelve images, one per page only. The quality of the Pocketbook is good, if a step below our other books. We have a sample Pocketbook in our studio for viewing.

Framed photos
If you’ve visited the Smoke&Mirrors Studio then you’ve seen these on our photo wall.
A framed photo is a wonderful addition to your home, and a celebration of you. Our clients love their framed photos, with one telling us that she looks at hers every day as a pick-me-up.

Luxury canvasses
If you’ve visited the Smoke&Mirrors Studio then you’ve seen these on our canvas wall.
These aren’t ordinary canvas images - these are the best canvasses you’ve ever seen. They display your photos in stunning quality and at a deliciously large scale. And, because of the way our canvasses are made, they will keep their quality for decades to come.
We find that A3 ($400), A2 ($600) and A1 ($900) sizes suit most, and have samples in our studio for viewing. A4 ($310) is the smallest we would suggest for a canvas, although you may prefer one of our Framed Photos instead. If you want to make a really large impression, the A0 size (around 1180x840mm) is $1400. Square canvasses are also available to order.
Our canvasses are hand-crafted and printed on a cotton-polyester material using long-life inkjet printing. A lustre finish, museum-grade lacquer protects against moisture, abrasion and UV damage.

Digital images
We’re a fan of printed photos, but sometimes you might want digital images instead.
We supply images at 2048px wide, and sell them as a group of ten images, as digital downloads from a private, password-protected online gallery.
